Michael Page takes Dixie
Two time Dixie & Rome Speedway track champion Michael Page took his first win of 2015 at Dixie Speedway in the Super Late Model main event. Page overtook Murphy NC’s Johnny Chastain on an early race restart and led the rest of the way to victory lane. Chastain finished second followed by Jody Knowles in third place. Fourth through tenth place went to Luther Jenkins, Dale Thurman, Fastest overall qualifier- TJ Reaid, Derrick Rainey, Aaron Ridley, Kurt English, and Mike McConnell.
Kingston Ga’s Don Jenkins took the Steelhead/525 championship claiming his 4th win of the season. Scottie Pritchett finished second, with Brian Jackson third, Chuck Padget, fourth, and Chris Sizemore fifth.
In the Crate division Jason Deal of Cooperhill, TN earned his first win at Dixie Speedway. Zack Pilcher, Shane Smith, Jake Jones, and Hunter Jones finished second through fifth.
The Super Bomber win went to Justin Begley. Second through fifth went to Andy Morris, Richard Goode, Randall Powell, and Brant Hardin
Austin Smith raced from the back of the pack, after an early race spin to claim the Econo Bomber feature. Kyle Beavers was second, followed by Landon Bagby in third. Fourth and fifth place went to Ryan Ray and Tyler Williams.
Jamie Cross claimed his ninth win of the season in the Pony Stock division. Second through fifth went to Jason Verong, Mitchell Pope, Bo Jordan, and Donny Burnes.
Anthony Pittman took the Street Cruiser victory in his first win of 2015. Edwin Scott finished in second place with George Wilson in third. Fourth and fifth place went to Randy Ledford and Jimmy Wilson.
The next race at Dixie Speedway is Saturday night June 20 with a full stock car racing program plus Championship races in Super Bomber-$800 to win and Crate-$1200 to win. Grandstand $13, Ages 9 to 17- $6, 8 and under free.
